This year’s seminar series in Russia with the Shibu-Chō of Europe, Frank Pelny Shihan, began in Kaliningrad.
The training sessions with Bō, Sai and Nunchaku were good preparation for the three candidates (2x 1st Dan, 1x 2nd Dan), who then successfully passed their exams.
Pavel Dolgachev Sensei had once again organized everything well, and the weather was almost summery at 25 degrees Celsius.
Afterwards, Pelny Shihan flew to Siberia and gave another seminar in the city of Jurga. The focus here was on Shotōkan-Ryū Karate. 140 participants completed 18 training hours in three days. The weather was Siberian, with temperatures below -7 degrees Celsius and 20 centimeters of fresh snow.
Many thanks to the organizer, Artyom Marin Sensei.
Thank you also for the incredible hospitality and friendliness of the Russian students.
There will be seminars in Russia again at Easter 2026. We’re looking forward to it.
