From 15.-17. In June 2018 an international seminar for Ryûkyû Kobudô Tesshinkan took place in Ivanovo (Russia) under the leadership of ITMAL Chairman – Sergey Mirutenko Shihan (8th Dan) and Sensei Igor Mirutenko (5th Dan) – multiple world and European champion. Master of Sports of the USSR Vladimir Vasilyevich Burdin (6th Dan), multiple champion of Russia in hand-to-hand combat and karate, acted as organizer of the seminar. The seminar was attended by 35 athletes and instructors from Ivanovo, Moscow and the Moscow region. At the seminar, basic elements were practiced with Nunchaku, Bô, Sai and Tunfâ. The following were trained: Maezato-no-nunchaku, Akamine-no-nunchaku, Shûshi-no-kun (Shô), Hama-higa-no-tunfâ and Chikin-shitahaku-no-sai.
