From May 16-22, Frank Pelny, the technical director of the Ryûkyû Kobudô Tesshinkan Kyô Kai – Europe (5th DAN) headed to Vancouver Island in Canada to meet his friends. Every day at the Dôjô of Rainer Todsen Sensei (5th DAN) was spent improving techniques and Kata.
On Saturday, May 19th, a one-day clinic was held additionaly. Enthusiasts from 3 differents Dôjô took hold of this opportunity to be taught by two teachers intensively. Aside from training Karate, Kobudô and self-defense, the schedule was filled with meeting up with old friends, sight-seeing and marvelling at the astonishing Canadian landscape.
We would like to express our most sincere gratitude towards Rainer Todsen Sensei, Eileen Hanuse and Holly and Belinda Molgaard-Tuttle for their hospitality. We are looking forward to next year.
